Refreshing Mojitos

I made a batch of mojitos for Memorial Day, and boy were they perfect for the sunny and warm California weather. I know some of you might not want to make an entire batch just so that you can enjoy one, so here is a recipe for a single serving.

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp. Agave Nectar

5-10 Fresh Mint Leaves (depending on size)

Half a Lime

2 oz. (or more ;]) Bacardi Rum

12 oz. Sparkling Water

Directions:

Pour agave nectar into a 16 oz. glass, add mint leaves and muddle them for a minute or two. Add the juice of half a lime then slice off a piece and toss it into the cup. Pour in rum, and stir the contents together. Add in desired amount of ice, then fill cup the rest of the way with sparkling water.

I like this recipe because I do not drink soda and did not want to use Sprite or some other grossly sugared variation. This way is a bit more natural and tastes light, not syrupy. Enjoy and drink responsibly!
