This Speckled Strawberry Smoothie is chock-full of nutrients and is a super–quick, and energizing breakfast. The combination of oranges, bananas, strawberries, kale, and more is wonderful!
It’s a new month, so this means a new and awesome bloghop theme! I’m just glad that my schedule allows me to host these, it’s so much fun to see new blogs and the super creative ideas that come from all of them. Greens are the theme for this month, and boy am I ready for them! After all of the chocolate last month, greens are the perfect thing. There are so many of them I know they won’t possibly get old.
I just feel like it wouldn’t be right for me to start off a month of #greenslove without doing a smoothie. Mostly because they have become my go-to breakfast 4-5 days out of the week. This speckled strawberry smoothie was one of the prettier smoothies that I’ve made involving greens. Usually, they end up an odd brownish or olive green color (which personally, I love). But, this one became speckled with chia seeds and the skins of gorgeous blueberries. While it maintained a pretty taupe base from the mixture of strawberries, oranges, and ripe bananas.

I love smoothies because it’s a simple and easy way to get in a few servings of fruit and/or veggies at the beginning of your day. Just a little prepping and pureeing and you’re good to go! I sometimes add coconut oil to my smoothies for a hint of coconut-y taste, but also because of it’s health benefits. So, the next time you’re feeling uninspired for breakfast look no further than your crisper drawer or fruit bowl. 🙂
The bloghop, this month, is filled with so many amazing blogs! I love that I’m able to be a part of it, and continue to share the foodie love. Here’s a list of all of the bloggers that are participating!
