It's a new month, so this means a new and awesome bloghop theme! I'm just glad that my schedule allows me to host these, it's so much fun to see new blogs and the super creative ideas that come from all of them. Greens are the theme for this month, and boy am I ready for them! After all of the chocolate last month, greens are the perfect thing. There are so many of them I know they won't possibly get old.

I just feel like it wouldn't be right for me to start off a month of #greenslove without doing a smoothie. Mostly because they have become my go-to breakfast 4-5 days out of the week. This speckled strawberry smoothie was one of the prettier smoothies that I've made involving greens. Usually, they end up an odd brownish or olive green color (which personally, I love). But, this one became speckled with chia seeds and the skins of gorgeous blueberries. While it maintained a pretty taupe base from the mixture of strawberries, oranges, and ripe bananas.

I love smoothies because it's a simple and easy way to get in a few servings of fruit and/or veggies at the beginning of your day. Just a little prepping and pureeing and you're good to go! I sometimes add coconut oil to my smoothies for a hint of coconut-y taste, but also because of it's health benefits. So, the next time you're feeling uninspired for breakfast look no further than your crisper drawer or fruit bowl. 🙂

The bloghop, this month, is filled with so many amazing blogs! I love that I’m able to be a part of it, and continue to share the foodie love. Here’s a list of all of the bloggers that are participating!

Thank you for the kind words, and for stopping by! Glad to be in the bloghop with you. 🙂
I noticed how pretty and speckled your smoothie looks 🙂 The only pretty greens smoothie I have made is with kale, OJ, and lots of blueberries. It had a pretty purple hue. Otherwise, all the others taste great, but don't look so appetizing-lol! Your combo sounds absolutely delicious-must try it! Happy #greenslove!!
That blueberry/orange/kale combo sounds like a total winner! I'll have to try that out soon!
I love all of the fruits in your smoothie, but have never had kale for breakfast.
Your smoothie looks fantastic. Will have to try it. Sending you #greenslove!
Green smoothies will change your life!
Green drinks mixed with fruits are so good. I cleanse for a days/weeks at a time and make variations of these. I feel so wonderful when I do. This recipe is taking a spin in my blender.
Fabulous! Let me know how you like it when you do try it out! 🙂
I am a green smoothie addict, you know I love this! These smoothies are my breakfast every morning. Great addition of the orange - I bet the citrus really made this smoothie pop.
Lots of #greenslove to you!
The orange definitely gives it a little tang, I've come to love putting them in my smoothies! Plus, the Vitamin C levels go through the roof and I'm set for the rest of the day. 😉
nice looking smoothie and very healthy too!
sending more #greenslove your way!
Yum!!! I loove smoothies especially healthy ones.
Love the idea of a healthy smoothie gussied up with strawberries!
i love green monster smoothies. hehehe we think so similarly in terms of food choices! i never thought about adding coconut oil to a smoothie before. i still haven't hit the coconut oil bandwagon. i think i've used it once for a shortbread cookie recipe, but mostly its used to moisturize my face.... lol. hope u have a splendid week, jackie! thanks for all your creativity in this bloghop!
It's funny that you say that about coconut oil; I tried it as moisturizer but find that argan oil likes my skin better. 🙂 I hope you have a terrific week as well!
What a gorgeous, speckled 🙂 smoothie!!! Such creativity in this month's blog hop...so fun hosting with you!!!
I love how you added coconut oil to the smoothie. A great idea I need to try. Your smoothie would be a perfect breakfast right now. I have some kale leftover and can't wait to make it:)Love the flavors and so healthy. xx

I still haven't found a green smoothie combination that I truly adore, but this seems like it's worth a try. There's just so much tasty, sweet fruit going on, it can't possibly be difficult to swallow. 🙂
Lovely!! I'd never thought of making a smoothie like you did, but I love the idea!!
This looks fantastic! I get stuck using spinach in my green smoothies, I forget about kale sometimes (in the morning, that is, NEVER in the evening). I'll try this soon, thanks for the recipe!
